So I found out the link for my old Daft Punk tribute remix cd was dead & I thought I'd up date the link & some info.
In 2005 after Daft Punk released their 3rd album Human After All I came up with an idea todo an all live remix set of Daft Punk.Early 2005 I had just switched from using all records to Serato thanks to old Dj buddy Scott Martin.
Serato gave me the ability to start doing my own live loops/samples & making mashups way easier todo on the fly!(before this I was doing mashups using 2 or more reorcds at once,lol).
I recorded a bunch of different takes,I've never been happy with any of my recordings. A year goes by & tons of great remixes are puring onto the the web,blogsites are just getting going & I become friends with a few that had simlier tastes & they & other artists started sending me advance tracks.
Daft Punk Announces their Alive Tour 2007. I record 2 more short mixes & decide to release one,desinged the cd cover & here's that mix I released just before Summer of 2007.
I think I did 1 or 2 special Daft Crunk Cd release Daft Punk tribute nights at the AC Lounge & had my buddy Dj XP bring in a special light show.
Then in July 27 LA, I brought my then girlfriend to see them. To this date it was the best show ive ever been to...and also the hottest. I mean really hot. WHO ELSE WENT?
